Insolvency

Advice and representation for creditors, debtors, directors and insolvency practitioners in restructurings, receiverships, administrations and liquidations.

Overview

When a business is in financial difficulty, early advice widens the options. We act for creditors, companies, directors and office-holders in rescue and recovery processes under Nigerian law.

CAMA 2020 introduced company voluntary arrangements, administration and netting alongside receivership and winding up. We advise on which process fits the situation, on the enforcement of security and on claims in insolvency, and we represent parties in insolvency litigation.

Our Principal Partner is an accredited insolvency practitioner and has served as receiver-manager of companies, including entities under the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), so we understand these processes from the office-holder’s side as well as the creditor’s.
